Colorado Rockies Relieved Season May Not Be Happening

By Steve Vanderploeg

In a recent interview with Westish News, Rockies general manager Bud Black mentioned that the team doesn’t mind the idea of the MLB season being cancelled. “We’ve really never been an impressive squad, and this year wasn’t going to be any different. Unless the virus takes out half the league, we were never even going to make the playoffs.” Black said while shrugging his shoulders.

“Look, safety is our number one goal for the team, so we don’t even expect them to be practicing at home right now. Everyone on the team makes good money, so they’re all in very comfortable living situations and will come out of this totally fine. We don’t want to risk them getting sick or hurting themselves. We’ve never been a risk taking team.” Black emphasized.

In a separate skype interview, Rockies 3rd baseman Nolan Arenado also stated “I hate this place anyways. I’d love to not be playing for the organization.”

Black, who has been with the team for a few seasons, also mentioned that even if the team were going to win the World Series this season, they’re just fine sitting this one out. “If that’s something we’ve got to cope with, we’ve been doing it for decades.
